Our 600-hour manicurist course teaches you the theory behind nails along with the hands-on training necessary to pass Texas state board exams and become licensed. Students can complete this course in approximately 8 months.
Course Description
The Manicurist program provides entry-level training for students interested in obtaining a license to provide nail services to the public.
Our manicure program curriculum covers the following areas (total program hours: 600).
⦁ Bacteriology, sanitation and safety 100 hours
⦁ Theory of hands and feet 70 hours
⦁ Equipment, implements and supplies 15 hours
⦁ Guidance, standards, laws and preparation 15 hours
⦁ Practical procedures including: 320 hours
⦁ Manicure
⦁ Pedicure
⦁ Hand, arm and foot massage
⦁ Acrylic nails
⦁ Gel polish
⦁ Dip Nails
⦁ Sculpted Nails, Tips & Wraps
Teaching and Learning Methods
Our course includes a mix of traditional lecture theory combined with hands-on demonstrations and hands-on work on live models. We use traditional textbooks as well as an online classroom resource to ensure comprehension and retention of the training material.

Convenient Class Times
We know that many of our students balance work and family while continuing their education. To provide additional flexibility for our students, our class schedule of 20 hours per week is as follows:
Manicure(Nails)
Requires 600 hours full or part time.
Finish in 4 months (40hrs/week)
Finish in 6 months (30hrs/week)
Finish in 8 months (20hrs/week).
